Today on The Bend, I had the pleasure of sitting down with someone who’s quickly becoming an invaluable resource in veterinary medicine: Adam Wysocki, founder of Vet Software Hub. From rescuing dogs to reshaping how veterinary clinics show up online through WhiskerCloud, Adam has spent over a decade using technology to serve over 10,000 veterinary professionals and millions of pet parents. But in 2024, his journey took a deeply personal turn with the loss of his beloved dog, Baxter.
That experience inspired the creation of Love, Baxter, a first-of-its-kind support system for grieving pet parents. In our conversation, Adam shares how Baxter’s legacy now lives on through a platform that offers 24/7 resources, a national directory of end-of-life care providers, grief support, and the world’s largest pet memorial store.

In this episode of The Bend, I get to chat with someone I truly admire—Dr. Kate Boatwright! Kate is a vet, writer, speaker, and all-around advocate for mentorship and realistic veterinary care (aka spectrum of care). She’s also one of the kindest, most thoughtful voices in our profession.
We talk about her journey—from dreaming of oceanography as a kid to becoming a vet, hitting burnout, and finding her groove in mentoring others. She shares the ups, the downs, and some very relatable “been there” moments (like mistaking an anal gland abscess for a tumor—hey, we’ve all had those!).
We also dive into how important it is to support new grads, the power of honest conversations with clients, and why it's okay to try, stumble, and keep going. Oh—and she’s a Disney race runner too, so we had a little fun with that!
